Cordon Pear Trees
The cordon Pear tree remains an ideal choice for growing in restricted spaces or against a fence. Cordon Pear trees can also be grown with a post and wire support in the open where they can form a most attractive fruitful screen. Cordon Pear trees – and other cordon fruit trees as well – should be spaced about 70-80cm’s apart.
Our cordon pear trees for sale are available in a wide range of variety. Cordon Pears trees are best grown on Quince C stock which makes a very productive tree and needs less pruning than the more vigorous stocks.
Cordon Pears were traditionally grown at a 45degree angle, and you can still plant them this way if it pleases you. But these days they are more often grown vertically and this takes up less space.
