This tree is grown on miniature M27 stock. M27 is a rootstock that produces the smallest tree of all; maturing to around 180cm’s in height and width, this tree is ideal for a container or small garden, courtyard or allotment. It should be staked if in a windy or open position. Crops can exceed 20ibs per tree when established and this rootstock is quite precocious, often yielding the year following planting.
Bakers Delicious has it’s origins in Wales and was introduced first in 1934. Although not a well known variety is retains a loyal following amongst apple enthusiasts. One of the best flavoured earlies.

Early; harvest Bakers Delicious from late August or early September depending on the season, the fruits can be then be used throughout September.

A very decorous apple of medium sized, vividly flushed deep orange-red over gleaming gold.

Uses:
Primarily used for dessert but may also be cooked with early in the season.
