Apples - late storing
Late storing apple trees are as valuable, if not more so, than the earlier kinds. There is nothing better than being able to choose your own stored apples, after Christmas and beyond, when fresh fruit otherwise becomes scarce. Late and storing apples should generally be left on the tree as long as possible in order to mature as fully as possible before harvest. Ripening will generally then continue in storage.
Late and storing apple trees can usually be enjopyed from November through until the New Year and beyond; the better varieties can often be kept until the Spring providing a wonderful late store of apples.
