This variety is usually the first to ripen and it's deliciously flavoured fruits can be enjoyed straight from the tree in late June. They are whitish green but mostly covered by a bold rosy red flush.
A reliable variety.
All varieties of Peach and Nectarine are self fertile so they can be grown alone.
Peach and Nectarine trees are grafted or budded onto St Julien stock. Although this is not a dwarfing stocks, the natural habit of Peach & Nectarine trees is fairly compact. Thus you can expect trees to mature to around 300cm’s in height with a spread somewhat less – but this can be controlled to less, and will be smaller if the trees are grown in containers of around 26”, to which they are well suited.
If you want to grow them as fan trained against a sunny south or west wall, then you must allow not less than 6-8’ in height and width.
