Cordon Apple trees are a good choice for restricted areas and a fence or wall. They can be grown at a 45degree angle, or upright. The rootstock we use for our cordon Lanes Prince Albert is M9 which is the best stock for cordon trees. Plant 60-80cm’s apart.

A famous old cooking variety, Hertfordshire in the first half of the 1800’s. Believed to be a Dumelows x Russet Nonpareil. Remains a popular cooker with a lovely flavour.

Lanes Prince Albert Apple tree – Season:

Harvest in late October or early January. This variety is at it’s best from December to Spring, keeps very well.

Large, conical and medium green with prominent vermillion stripes.
